My name is Melissa Speer and I teach 3rd grade at McIntire Elementary School. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. I am currently enrolled at MU and working on my master's degree.
I am married to the love of my life and am blessed with four amazing children. We are a family that loves cats, so we have seven fur babies. All of my children have attended/are currently enrolled at McIntire. I can’t think of a better school district for them to be receiving their education!
I am a passionate and hardworking educator. I create engaging lessons and foster a “hands-on” learning approach. I take the time to get to know all of my students for who they are and give them the tools to become who they want to become.
Here are some things that I love: family, friends, cats, reading, my home, traveling abroad, cooking, coffee, classical music, patience, puzzles, organization, Bob Ross, X-files, movies, and so much more!
My favorite places to shop are Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and I love Starbucks!
